The Vernon Yellow Jackets hosted the Chipley Tigers Friday night in a classic local rivalry that has been ongoing for nearly 60 years.
The Tigers dominated the field, despite the muddy conditions, taking home a 50-0 victory. Vernon, now 0-2, will take on the 0-3 Jefferson County Tigers this Friday at home.
Chipley, now 3-1 will face off against Freeport at home on Friday. Freeport’s record is also currently 3-1.
